Film & TV

Graphic Props

I began my career in design specialising in graphics for filmmaking, which involves anything from creating artwork for film posters, blueprints for banks, neon shop signs, beer bottle labels, book covers and newspapers.

I also work on photo retouching and pre-visualisations

Films include 'The Sweeney' and 'A Long Way Down',  and TV series such as 'Black Mirror'.

TV Commercials for clients including Samsung, Barclays, Sony, Coca Cola and the BBC

I was asked to design a series of graphics for a TV Commercial for SSE, a power company. These were then laser etched onto clear acrylic screens which were installed as part of a set for a visitors centre.

These screen prints were made for an exhibition in the Frieze Art Fair in London. It was based in 1968, in a Paris apartment owned by a 68 year old avid art collector with posters from exhibitions around the World.

We had some low quality images of posters from that era but they needed to be re created so that we could print them in large format to hang in the set.

I used the references we had and re produced them all in vector format so they could be printed at any scale but retained the handmade, screen printed feel for the show

Film work

I worked on the 2014 feature film "A Long Way Down" starring Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette and Aaron Paul

I created a Newspaper article featuring the lead character, which was used as a hero prop in the film, a tabloid page which involved shooting stills of the characters and writing copy.

"Rise & Shine with Penny" was a fictional daytime TV show which required a logo for the screen and merchandise
